Our mini-excavation services in Terrebonne

Foundation access is the bulk of our work in Terrebonne. Basement water infiltration, a crack that weeps during the thaw, or an old waterproofing membrane that no longer does its job — in every case the affected perimeter has to be opened down to the concrete footing. We work with precision so we do not damage buried utilities, which are densely packed in Terrebonne's residential zones. Backfill is then placed in compacted lifts to prevent ground settling in the years that follow.

Full French drain installation is a major part of our volume in Terrebonne, especially in the Lachenaie and La Plaine neighbourhoods where clay soils and a high water table put foundations under heavy load every spring. We excavate around the perimeter, lay a bed of clean sized gravel, set the perforated pipe with the continuous slope required by the Quebec Construction Code, cover with geotextile, and install cleanout risers at the four corners of the house. Those risers allow, 10 or 20 years down the road, high-pressure flushing of the drain without a fresh excavation.

We also dig plumbing and utility trenches: new water service, sanitary sewer connection, natural-gas line, underground electrical to a detached structure, sump-pump discharge line. Many Terrebonne sectors are on municipal sewer, but others — notably parts of La Plaine and outer Lachenaie — still run on septic systems. We prep the ground for septic-system installation and the leaching field, working from the engineer drawings provided by the client.

Our hallmark is precision in tight spaces. New construction on a narrow lot, attached outbuilding to respect, mature landscaping or paving stones to protect — our mini-excavator adapts to the site. After the work is finished, we restore the ground systematically: topsoil replaced, lawn reseeded, paving stones reset to match what was there before.
